The Screen Actors Guild is a labor union consisting of over 150,000 film and TV actors eligible to vote for the awards. This is a great opportunity to see what actors think of other actors’ work and what makes an outstanding performance. Of course, the red carpet keeps the event interesting for viewers.

What Channel Are the SAG Awards On? What Time Do the SAG Awards Start?
This year’s SAG Awards are taking a new approach to the live broadcast. In years past, the ceremony had a contract with Warner Bros. Discovery, which broadcasted the event live on cable channels TBS and TNT. However, Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed that it ended its contract with the SAG Awards in May 2022.
Instead, the SAG Awards is taking a streaming-friendly approach this year, assuring anyone can watch the event for free. In accordance with a new multi-year contract with Netflix, this year’s 2023 SAG Awards will be livestreamed for free on Netflix’s YouTube channel. The streaming giant has promised to promote next year’s ceremony as a “global live event” on its main platform.
The 2023 event will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26, with the main event starting at 8 p.m. ET.
